When you watch a 4-year-old rush to answer some call of duty in a game of Pretend, the urgency and the veracity of the response seems quite incredible. Do they really think that the playscape is a mansion? How can these emotions just pour forth so effortlessly? Why aren’t they questioning the legitimacy of these roles? Isn’t it just a game of Pretend? Don’t they know?
Well, we still pretend. We just don’t believe anymore.
I am working on a 3 part photo project.

Part II: The Jester
Part III: The Beholder
Let me photograph you?!
